(POLL) Most voters say media bias favors Kamala Harris in 2024

A majority of voters say they believe most news reporters are biased and expect the media to help Kamala Harris in the presidential campaign.

The latest Rasmussen Reports survey finds that 60% of likely voters say they believe most reporters try to help their preferred candidate. Only 28% say they believe reporters offer unbiased coverage.

Fifty-seven percent (57%) say they believe Harris has received the best media treatment so far, while 29% say they believe Trump has been treated better. Looking ahead, 50% say they expect most reporters to help Harris, while 14% say they expect most to help Trump.

While 44% of Democrats say they believe most reporters try to offer unbiased coverage, only 16% of Republicans and 23% of unaffiliated voters say they agree. Seventy-four percent (74%) of Republicans and 64% of unaffiliated voters say they think most reporters try to help the candidate they want to win.

Majorities across political lines—65% of Republicans, 53% of Democrats, and 54% of unaffiliated voters—say they believe Harris has received the best treatment from the media so far. Looking ahead, 66% of Republicans, 34% of Democrats, and 50% of unaffiliated voters say they expect most reporters to try to help Harris.
