(POLL) Most say they’ll spend more than $1,000 on Christmas gifts

Most respondents say they plan to spend a significant amount on Christmas gifts this year, with the largest share budgeting more than $1,000.

That’s according to the latest unscientific poll at SharylAttkisson.com.

Thirty-five percent (35%) say they will spend more than $1,000 on Christmas gifts.

Twenty-six percent (26%) say they plan to spend between $501 and $1,000.

Fifteen percent (15%) say they will spend less than $100, while 13% say they expect to spend between $301 and $500.

Smaller shares say they will spend between $100 and $200 at six percent (6%), or between $201 and $300 at five percent (5%).

These results suggest many respondents are willing to spend heavily on Christmas gifts despite ongoing economic concerns.
