A majority of likely voters say they support Senate confirmation for Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has been nominated by President-elect Donald Trump to serve as Secretary of Health and Human Services.

According to a recent national telephone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports, 51% of likely voters say they believe the Senate should confirm Kennedy’s nomination, while 35% say they are opposed, and 14% say they are undecided.

Fifty-three percent (53%) say they view Kennedy favorably, including 20% who describe their opinion as “very favorable.” Meanwhile, 37% say they have an unfavorable opinion of Kennedy, including 17% who say it is “very unfavorable”. Kennedy’s favorability has increased slightly since August, when he endorsed Trump for president.

The survey, conducted December 17-19, 2024, polled 1,099 likely US voters. Rasmussen Reports notes a margin of error of +/- 3 percentage points, with a 95% confidence level.
